W.W. Full-Circle Homestead Tour

Come experience a full-circle self-sufficient homestead in person with a guided tour, Q&A, and practical information you can take home to start planning your homestead.

What does full circle mean? Full circle is the term that expresses how our homestead gardens, animals, and wildlife areas all work together to create a self-sufficient homestead.

The Tour & What is Included:

  • $100 per person, with a $50 add-on available for one additional person. Limited spots are available to keep the tour as personal as possible.
  • The tour is estimated to last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You will receive a comprehensive homestead tour, following the permaculture technique zones that create our full-circle homestead. In each zone, we will discuss the practical applications of methods used in that area, along with their rationale.
  • Garden zones encompass annual and perennial gardens, patio-raised bed gardens, herbal gardens, and pollinator gardens.
  • Our system includes egg-laying chickens, ducks, meat chickens, vermiculture, natural wildlife, and dairy goats. We will discuss the multiple benefits of each animal and how they contribute to the homestead.
  • Composting and water catchment systems.
  • Mistakes to avoid: We've found that certain materials and equipment work best.
  • How we are creating functioning, self-sufficient, and beyond-organic ecosystems.

What You Will Get:

  • You will receive a Wildwood Wonder Homestead: Full Circle 101 Homestead take-home information packet, which will include detailed information covering all the topics discussed during the tour. *If you have an add-on person attending with you, only one packet will be provided.
  • We still highly encourage you to take notes on the valuable insights we share!
  • One great benefit of touring the homestead is seeing the real-life application of the information in person about the area we are covering. You will also have a chance to ask questions throughout the tour.
  • Bottled water will be provided. Berkey-filtered drinking water will also be available if you bring a refillable bottle. There are plenty of sitting areas and chairs for anyone needing a rest.

Basic Tour Information:

  • The tour will start at 8:00 a.m. An early start will help us keep cool as we tour several areas of the property.
  • As the tour is designed for an educational experience, we request that parents be responsible for and keep their children close.
  • The tour will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and you will be standing for the duration. You are welcome to bring a foldable chair for a sitting break if needed.
  • The tour is entirely outside; please be prepared for any weather conditions. Bring a raincoat, boots, or shoes for mud, sunscreen, a battery-operated fan, and bug spray.
  • The homestead is located on a hillside and uneven terrain. The tour is not recommended for individuals who have difficulty walking on uneven ground.
  • The homestead is located fifteen minutes from Booneville, MS. There are several local food options available for lunch in town, as well as wonderful parks to visit for a picnic lunch.
