This is a short-term tea blend formulated to soothe coughs and other respiratory issues. It contains Mullein, which is known for its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and expectorant properties. Coughing, especially dry coughs, causes irritation, so chamomile and marshmallow soothe the throat.
Licorice root adds some sweetness to this blend, but you can also add a drop or two of local honey.
Ingredients:
Chamomile, marshmallow, plantain, mullein, licorice
Directions:
- Place 1 tbsp of tea blend into a tightly nested tea strainer. You want to ensure the removal of tiny mullein leaf hairs, which can irritate.
- Pour freshly boiled hot water over the herbs, cover, and steep for 5- 7 minutes.
- Once done, compost or discard the plant material.
- Drink up to three servings per day.
