Why Comfery?
- When used topically, comfrey is excellent for supporting wound and skin repair.
- It's anti-inflammatory and emollient /demulcent action soothes pain, redness, swelling, bruising, and any other signs of skin inflammation, such as bug bites, rashes, and sunburns.
- Because it has a constituent allantoin, it stimulates cell proliferation and helps repair connective tissues and collagen. It often leaves tissue injuries scarless!
A comfrey salve is an excellent way to harness comfrey's cooling and moistening properties while also drying, making it ideal for burns. However, we also want to ensure that all our ingredients are the best we can obtain.
- Our comfrey is grown chemical-free and ethically harvested here at our cottage homestead.
- All-natural, ethically harvested beeswax is used as our binder.
- We also use organic, extra-virgin olive oil.
